Part of my "Florida Waters" Series
While Florida may be known as a vacation destination to many, we are lucky to call this state home. Through these artworks I represented various water activities I enjoy, not only in the summertime, but year round. I aim to invoke a sense of wonder and whimsy through my use of a vibrant color pallet, iridescent glass beads, and fun textures created with collage, paint, string, and crayons.

My intention is to spread appreciation for our beautiful subtropical state, that viewers can enjoy whether a resident or visitor. I incorporated various Florida wildlife into these artworks. My goal is to remind the audience that, while Florida welcomes many tourists, we must not forget that humans are merely guests in these environments. Our presence has a real impact on these fragile ecosystems.
