Statement: To me, the annual Inverness Festival of the Arts is the perfect representation of a small town. Community members of all ages come together to celebrate a shared passion for the arts.

This small-scale piece made with collage materials related to Inverness and this event, as well as mixed media elements (watercolor, prismacolor, pencil shavings), challenged me to look at the bigger picture.

This artwork ties together my past and present; I participated in the Inverness Festival of the Arts as a child, teenager, and now as a teacher with my students.
