Statement: This mixed media piece is a heartfelt tribute to my cat, Eclipse. While black cats are often referred to as "voids", he embodies the light and love that fill the voids in my heart. As my most cherished companion, Eclipse serves as the central inspiration for this work, where I explore a range of his expressions alongside elements that hold personal significance to me.
The composition integrates my favorite themes: Eclipse’s essence, the beauty of flowers, rich textures, and a carefully curated color palette. These elements come together to create a visually layered and emotionally resonant piece that captures the joy, comfort, and connection he brings to my life. Through this work, I aim to celebrate not only Eclipse but also the profound impact of our bonds with the creatures we hold dear.
